HALLOWEEN II actor Cliff Emmich has died at the age of 85 due to an ongoing health problem.
Emmich’s rep confirmed his tragic death to Fox News Digital, saying the star was suffering from lung cancer.
“My client and friend has been losing his battle with lung cancer for over fifty years … He died Monday at his home in Valley Village,” his spokesman said in a statement.
Emmich was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but grew up in Los Angeles. California.
He has appeared in more than 90 films and television shows since his film debut in 1969’s Gaily, Gaily.
He is well known for his roles in Payday, Little House on the Prairie and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot to name a few.
Those who know the actor best for his role as Mr. Garrett in Halloween II have expressed their feelings on Twitter, including the verified Halloween Verse account.
The Halloween account included hashtags in the touching tweet such as #MrGarrett, #RIP, and #Halloween.
“Awesome character actor,” one fan replied to the tweet.
“Lots of TV stuff,” added the Twitter user. “Incredible Hulk, Little House on the Prairie and so on and so on.”
Another Halloween fan replied, saying, “Damn, I just saw it yesterday.”
“Rest in peace big man,” they added.
