KDKA-TV’s Jennifer Borrasso spoke to friends who know her on Sunday. They said they were sad, angry and heartbroken.
Stephanie Contreras said: “The kids are her world. “Family is her world. She really is the person you want your daughter to grow up to be. ”
Contreras describes her high school friend at Gateway as genuine, sweet, and kind. Police say Spicuzza was shot and killed while driving for Uber. She leaves behind a fiance and four children.
“I’m just mad that her kids don’t deserve this,” Contreras said. “They don’t deserve the last memory of their mother is this incident.”
Contreras said Spicuzza was the first to step in and stop someone from bullying others. Contreras adds that she also helps others feel welcome.

“If she didn’t know you, she would have come to say, ‘Hi.’ If you sit alone during lunch, she will bring you to her table and sit with you,” says Contreras.
Contreras shared his favorite memory with KDKA-TV.
“I was on bed rest because my son was going to be born prematurely, a high-risk pregnancy,” Contreras said. “She is willing to take time off work to come to my house to bathe the baby.”
“She has the biggest heart,” says Jessika Watt. “Always willing to help friends, even if you don’t have much yourself. She is very kind and caring, checking on everyone, making sure everyone is okay. Her immense heart is how I will always remember her.”
Spicuzza also works hard, doing things like driving for Uber, making and selling crafts, as well as serving as Max and Erma’s valet. Most recently she worked for Dollar Bank.
“Why are you following a mother of four?” Contreras said. “A sweet, innocent girl would do anything for anyone.”
