CHRIS EUBANK JR vs. Liam Smith is signed and sealed for January 21st in Manchester.
The middleweight rivals will clash on a Sky Sports show nearly four months after Eubank Jr.’s duel with Conor Benn was canceled, just three days before the mega-money duel.
But the 33-year-old can make up for that strike in the pocket by getting his hands on his 34-year-old Liverpool rival who has repeatedly dismissed the Brighton man’s skills.
Smith – from the famous fighting family that includes Paul, Callum and Stephen – said: “He’s making a huge mistake fighting me.
“Every time he has risen to the elite, he has failed.
“I’m elite and he’ll fall again on January 21 in Manchester.
“If he was at 60 percent in the fight that was never against Conor Benn, then he has to be at 160 percent to be ready to take on me, a former world champion, in front of thousands of my Northwest fans.
“For Chris, this is high risk with low reward.
“For me it’s the perfect platform to show that I will rule the world again in 2023.”
But Eubank Jr. says he’s “twice” as good as Smith.

He said: “He was there with some good fighters. Are you at my level? no
“He’s a competent fighter, but class beats competence any day of the week.
“It’s a good opportunity for me to show that I’m twice as combative as he is, just like those he’s faced.
“Manchester is an iconic sporting city. It has hosted many legendary fight nights and many memorable fighters were born there.
“It’s going to be a great achievement and hopefully the Eubank name will become a fixture when talking about Manchester’s boxing history.”
