Chick-Fil-A celebrates longtime employees | Washstand

ODESSA, Texas (Nexstar) – It was a fun day in Odessa on Friday when the Chick-Fil-A restaurant entered 42nd Street celebrated a longtime employee and honored her with a party full of flowers and cakes. Elizabeth Ann Mafford, known to her friends and colleagues as “Ms. Ann”, has been with the restaurant for 10 years and is loved by colleagues as well as those who come to the restaurant.
Heather Dunn, whose family owns and operates the restaurant said, “Ms. Ann, we are grateful that you have been part of our CFA family for 10 years. Thank you for loving us as much as we love you! “.
In a Facebook post, the store owner extended an invitation to the community to join the party. The post exploded with wise people praising Ms. Ann.
One user wrote, “Here are 10 more!”.
Another just said: “We love you, Miss Ann. You make Chick-Fil-A what it is. “.
The 91-year-old staff member had to take time off work in 2020 due to concerns about COVID-19. In an interview that year, the CFA employee said she missed the customers who asked about her every time she returned to the store.
“Multiple Sclerosis. Ann is just the sweetest, friendliest person you’ll ever meet,” co-worker Courtney Ashley said during the birthday parade for Ms. Ann in July 2020.” She spoke to every single person that walked into our dining room, she treated them like they were the only people she met that day.”
Ann’s return to work has received excitement from restaurant staff as well as patrons. The same people showed up on Friday to celebrate with the special staff. Those particular customers say Ann was a big part of keeping them coming back.
“I always have to come and say hello to Miss Ann and it’s such a joy, and every time she sees me… she gets up from her seat and hugs me. That’s a great thing,” says loyal customer Michael Thomas.
Ms. Ann said if you see her in the restaurant, remember to say hi.
