And Chelsea are now ready to return to normal as manager Thomas Tuchel is finally endorsed in the transfer window.

One area that was in doubt was the club’s deal with shirt sponsor Three.

The mobile phone company suspended its deal with the Blues in March after former owner Abramovich was hit by British sanctions over his ties to Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

Shirt sleeve sponsor Hyundai also pulled out while Chelsea were unable to sell any merchandise.

And there were questions about whether Three would ever put their logo on the front of Chelsea’s shirts again.

But with Boehly helming the show following Abramovich’s departure, Three are now back in business with the Premier League giants.

They will grace the front of Chelsea’s kit for next season, which is due to be released shortly.

However, a redesign may be needed after fans slammed leaked images across the internet.

A statement from Chelsea confirmed: “Following the sale of Chelsea Football Club, we are pleased to confirm that Three will resume its marketing activities with immediate effect.

“As a result of the UK government sanctions imposed on the former owner of Chelsea FC in March, our official shirt partner Three has decided to pause its marketing activities with the club until the impact of the sanctions on the club has ended.

“Three’s partnership with Chelsea began in 2020 and their logo featured on our kits during a hugely successful period for the club, with the men’s team winning the Champions League and being crowned World Champions.

“And Chelsea women have secured the domestic quadruple and a league and cup double and reached the women’s Champions League final in that time.

Jon Rogers, Head of Global Partnerships, added: “Following the recent hiatus in their activities, the Club is delighted to have resumed our work with Three and we look forward to starting the new season together.

“We thank all club partners for their support now and in the future.” Chelsea’s £120m shirt sponsorship deal with Three continues following Todd Boehly’s takeover of Roman Abramovich
