CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI remains apprehensive about whether he will switch his international allegiance from Britain to Ghana.
The Chelsea winger, 19, has made three appearances for the Three Lions senior side, although his last appearance was in 2019.
He was called up for the U21 team in August, but turned down the opportunity to link up with Lee Carsley’s team.
And England manager Gareth Southgate claims that The Blues ace also turned down the opportunity to represent their country in November.
That led to Blues gaffer’s Thomas Tuchel claiming that the striker faced ‘consequences’ of turning down the chance to play for England.
Hudson-Odoi last year was declared ‘disillusioned’ with the FA after being dropped from the senior squad.
The youth can still represent Ghana due to his dual citizenship and the fact that his three caps all came before he turned 21.
According to Fifa rules, he is not allowed to add to his three caps, while he has to wait a total of three years from his last outing for England to register an application to switch countries.

Talk to Evening StandardHudson-Odoi was asked if he would play for England at the World Cup in Qatar and turned down Ghana.
He said: “I don’t know. At the end of the day, we will wait until that time comes.
“At the same time, I just need to focus on the club until we get this far.”
After being refused to move to Borussia Dortmund on loan last summerHudson-Odoi became a key player under Tuchel.
He was successful with three goals and six assists from 27 matches in all competitions for Chelsea this term.
And recently he helped the West London club beat Brazil’s Palmeiras 2-1 to win the Club World Cup.
After title success, Hudson-Odoi Thank you Tuchel for stopping him from leaving Stamford Bridge.
“Big trophies like this are the games you want to be in with a club like this,” he commented.
“Big games, big trophies, you want to win as much as possible with a club like this.
“Our goal is to always win matches and win as many as possible. When the opportunity arises, we keep pushing.
“If I had played in the summer, I wouldn’t have had the chance to play like this and enjoy the games and win trophies.
“So I’m really glad I stayed and obviously I got the chance to compete.”
