Chelsea star Armando Broja impresses new boss Graham Potter in training and nears the starting spot

ARMANDO BROJA catches the eye of Chelsea boss Graham Potter and he is close to earning a starting spot.
The young striker has made a huge impression in training and new Blues manager Potter could soon feature him in the starting XI despite the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer.

The ex-Brighton manager set Aubameyang up in his first game in charge against Salzburg in the Champions League but took him out for Broja after 66 minutes.
Potter is never afraid to back up his judgment, and insiders have revealed that he raves about Broja’s potential and ability to fit into his system.
Maybe he wants to implement a pressing system, which is one of Broja’s strengths.
The 21-year-old was loaned to Southampton last year and has impressed for the club on nine occasions.
Despite the huge attention the Albanian received from the likes of West Ham in the summer, Broja stayed at Chelsea.
He has been used six times by Thomas Tuchel this season, with all appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.
Chelsea have struggled without an outright center forward on the team this season, with Kai Havertz leading the line.
The German has scored just one goal so far this season and in Potter’s first game as Blues manager he was instead used as an attacking midfielder.

This could give Broja a chance to become a regular for the club.
Inter Milan could reportedly try to return Romelu Lukaku on loan next season to further reduce his attacking options.
Chelsea are out of action this week as the game against Liverpool has been postponed.
