Chelsea ratings: Lewis Hall was a rare bright spot as Mudryk was eliminated early after an embarrassing miss

The stars of CHELSEA failed to show their skills again as they were defeated by Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Blues were clearly beaten 4-1 while the Red Devils secured their place in the Champions League next Season.

Mykhailo Mudryk continued to struggle to prove himself after the club spent £88.5million to sign him from Shakhtar Donetsk in January as he missed several chances.

Conor Gallagher, another player who failed to impress despite his consistent performance, failed to provide the England international with any quality moments.

However, Lewis Hall was a bright spot for Frank Lampard’s side as he looked dangerous at times when he hit the wing.

The youngster should have received an assist after putting the ball on a plate for Kai Havertz but the German shot his header wide.

Joao Felix also went home with some pride after scoring a late consolation goal after coming on as a second-half substitute.

This is how SunSports’ Phil Thomas rated the Chelsea players.

KEPA-6

He didn’t have a chance for all four goals, but was able to fend off impressive saves against Eriksen and McTominay.

CESAR AZPILACUETA-6

Excellent sliding tackle to stop Martial from getting a second hit when he had no right to win the ball. Never gave up what became a lost cause.

TREVOR CHALOBAH-5

I didn’t actually have a shocker, but I can hardly claim to have bragging rights at the back of my stash.

WES FOFANA – 4

Casemiro came nowhere near getting the opening goal, giving away the penalty and passing straight to Fernandes for the fourth. Enough said.

His rise has been a rare bright spot for Chelsea this season. Set up some sitters for Mudryk and Havertz who both missed.

NONI MADUEKE – 5

Got the ball consistently in right space. If only he could have done something productive with it.

ENZO FERNANDEZ-7

A class, and that has been proven once again. He never shied away from having the ball and made some great passes – most notably to knock Gallagher off.

CARNEY CHUKWUEMEKA-6

Fired an early shot from a meter away and made some intelligent passes in a fairly decent performance.

MYKHAYLO MUDRYK – 4

Mudryk should have scored

I missed an absolute sitter early on – at £88.5million you clearly don’t get what it used to be. It’s no surprise he’s addicted.

CONOR GALLAGHER – 5

Lively, always on the move but also guilty of making a terrible mistake after Fernandez played it in.

KAI HAVERTZ – 4

Such a stylish footballer, but not a center forward, faked a simple header and let Casemiro past him to open the scoring.

JOAO FELIX (for Havertz, 63): Caused more panic in United’s defense in two minutes than Havertz managed in over an hour. It’s fitting that he got the consolation grade 7

CHRISTIAN PULISIC (for Mudryk, 63): Guilty of a pretty cheap shot by jumping in de yeah The fact that it was his only contribution said a lot. 5
