Chelsea players are telling boss Tuchel to transfer £50m for ‘fiery’ Everton striker Richarlison to replace Lukaku

RICHARLISON is emerging as the key signing of Chelsea stars to want to see at their club.

Chelsea have joined rivals Tottenham and Arsenal in their pursuit of the £50million-rated Brazilian after flop striker Romelu Lukaku was sacked.

Striker Lukaku is on his way back to Inter Milan on loan after a disastrous year and Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is looking to bolster his forward line in response.

Richarlison, Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele were all heavily linked with the move to Stamford Bridge and all would be seen as great additions by the current squad.

But fiery Brazilian Richarlison’s signature aggression and tenacity are considered key factors in the minds of some players.

The South American hothead was hit with an FA charge for hurling a smoke bomb into the crowd at Goodison Park to celebrate his goal against Chelsea last season.

Richarlison, 25, has made it clear to Everton boss Frank Lampard that he wants out with two years left on the contract.

He scored 11 goals last season in a side struggling against relegation but it’s his devilish personality that speaks most to some in the Chelsea camp.

Winger Sterling is another on Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel’s radar as he ponders his future at Manchester City with a year left.

The forward is taking a pay cut to return to Italy but Chelsea will still save around £325,000 a week by taking him off the books.

Barcelona’s Dembele is also on the list of potential signings but his salary is proving to be a difficult obstacle.

The Frenchman is also reluctant to be part of Chelsea’s squad rotation policy after playing a season of partial promotions in Spain.
