GABRIEL SLONINA will reportedly fly to London this week and link up with Chelsea following his £12million summer transfer.
The Blues snapped up the young keeper, 18, from Chicago Fire.
However, his arrival after the £12million transfer was delayed as the MLS season was still ongoing at the time.
However, the season is now over with Fire finishing 12th in the Eastern Conference.
And according to journalist Chris Smith, Slonina will now travel to London to link up with Chelsea for a 10-15 day training stay as his loan deal doesn’t expire until January.
Slonina will then return to the United States for a USMNT training camp to keep the local players fit and ready for the World Cup in Qatar.
Whether Slonina will stay at Chelsea from January is still open.
A number of Championship clubs are keen on the American, according to the report.
Chelsea are also exploring another challenge for Slonina.
The Blues are looking at possible designations where it is possible to play European football.

On his departure from Fire, Slonina tweeted, “Chicago thanks for all the memories.
“Though it seems over, I will keep the fire in my heart forever.”
