Chelsea legend and Sky pundit Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink makes a Premier League title prediction… and reveals Arsenal’s fears

CHELSEA legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has revealed who he thinks will win the Premier League this season.

And despite their five-point lead over Manchester City, he believes the Gunners will eventually be hunted by the champions.

Hasselbaink, who works as a Sky Sports pundit, admitted Mikel Arteta’s side surprised him.

However, he insisted they will “have a bad time” at some point this season, which could see them slip and lose their title.

Speaking to SafeBettingSites, he said: “Arsenal are doing so well and they keep surprising me.

“They’re doing great and playing really good football but I think they’re going to have a bad time with maybe two or three losses and then we’ll see how they react.

“My favorites are still Manchester City but I’m getting closer and closer to saying it might be Arsenal’s year.”

The Gunners have lost only once this season.

That defeat came at Old Trafford in a 3-1 defeat by Manchester United but Arsenal got revenge as United came to the Emirates with a 3-2 win inspired by Eddie Nketiah and Bukayo Saka last week.

Meanwhile, Man City have continued to rake in wins but have faced heavy criticism from manager Pep Guardiola.

The Spaniard, who has won four of the last five Prem titles, has hypothesized that his players have lost their hunger to win another title.

Erling Haaland has scored a staggering 25 goals in the Premier this season alone, but City have still lost points to opponents who would normally have brushed them aside in years past.

Historical statistics also speak for Arsenal.

Only one team in Prem history failed to win the title after accumulating 50 or more points in the first 19 games of the season, and that was Liverpool 2018/19.
