Chelsea have ejected Emerson Palmieri at the center of the transfer battle between Nottingham Forest and Atalanta

NOTTINGHAM FOREST is reportedly looking for Chelsea outsider Emerson Palmieri.
But they face a tough battle against Atalanta for the Italian left-back.

The Standard claim Emerson is up for grabs after Chelsea splashed £62m on Brighton star Marc Cucurella.
Marcos Alonso is already on his way to Barcelona.
And Emerson has no future at Stamford Bridge either, having been loaned to Lyon last season.
Forest have now made initial contact with both the player and Chelsea via a permanent move to Steve Cooper’s side.
The newly promoted team have already made TWELVE signings this summer.
And transfer No. 13 should conclude with a move for Atalanta midfielder Remo Freuler.
But ironically, it’s the Serie A giants who now stand in the way of Forest’s landing Emerson.
Gian Piero Gasperini has been on the hunt for a new left-back since Robin Gosens lost to Inter Milan in January.

Atalanta had hoped to sign Nuno Tavares from Arsenal before opting for a loan move to Marseille.
And they now want Emerson to join former Chelsea right-back Davide Zappacosta at Bergamo this summer.
However, Emerson might think twice about joining Atalanta after they missed out on European football after finishing 8th last season.
Euro 2020 could instead be waiting for a reunion with Maurizio Sarri, now Lazio manager and playing in the Europa League this season.
He is also reportedly interested in signing Emerson and Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
