SAUL NIGUEZ’s move to Chelsea on loan did not turn out as expected, as evidenced by the Spaniard’s ‘likes’ tweets on Twitter.
Chelsea fans will thank their lucky stars for having no obligation to buy midfielders, just the £40m option, after he ‘liked’ a tweet calling for him to return to Atletico Madrid.
The midfielder appears to be counting down the days to return to Atletico Madrid should his Twitter account pass..
He ‘liked’ a tweet from an Atletico fan that read: “I tell you one thing, we’ve been in a tough spot, but since Saul left, so much more.
“I need him back and don’t stop believing. I need great goals and that nail. #Saulisback.”
After that, Saul also continued to post on Twitter, cryptically writing: “Never stop believing.”
Saul’s shocking form led to reports late last year that Atletico Madrid were debating his recall, with Barcelona are rumored to want to move.

The talk about that seems to have subsided in recent weeks, so a recall seems unlikely.
Spain’s salary cap system means Atletico Madrid cannot afford to bring Saul home early from loan, meaning he will stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of the season.
A nightmare Chelsea debut sees Saul hooked in just 45 minutes against Aston Villa in December.
The 27-year-old has started just one other Premier League game since, playing a meager 161 minutes in Prem since joining.
He was largely restricted to the Carabao Cup quest, starting four of the five games en route to Chelsea’s final.
And he put on an impressive performance in Win the semi-final first leg 2-0 against Tottenham, though was later substituted for the second leg.
A good performance in FA Cup win over Chesterfield is another indicator that things may be looking for Saul, albeit against unrelated opposition.
But his ‘likes’ tweets appear to have dashed any hopes of a revival, with the man himself seemingly looking forward to his day back in the Spanish capital.
