And this fact did not go unnoticed by the passionate Chelsea fans.

The Blues supporters entertained themselves by singing ‘Tottenham defeated’ throughout the evening.

They turned to mock the Spurs supporters behind their backs.

There didn’t seem to be any violence but the managers were there to intervene just in case.

Wearing jackets with high coverage, they tried to form a line between the two groups of fans.

Chelsea have much to cheer for in this League Cup semi-final.

The Blues took a 2-0 aggregate lead thanks to a win last week at Stamford Bridge.

And things looked even better for them just 18 minutes into the game when Antonio Rudiger benefited from a Pierluigi Gollini tackle to head home.

Spurs think they have earn a penalty at halftime when Rudiger fouled Hojbjerg.

But after a lengthy VAR inspection, the offense was adjudged to have occurred outside the 18-yard zone.

The hosts were then awarded another penalty in the second half as Lucas Moura was reported to have been knocked out by Kepa Arrizabalaga – only because the penalty was also fouled.

Harry Kane then had the ball in the net, before VAR deemed him narrowly offside.

The opportunity is too late to play had to pause for five minutes for a ‘medical emergency’ in the south stand.

When proceedings resumed five minutes later, Chelsea were disqualified their 1-0 victory.

The Blues will face Arsenal or Liverpool in the final at Wembley.
