CHELSEA fans begged the club to recall Conor Gallagher in January following his stunning brace for Crystal Palace.

The midfielder, on loan from the Blues until the end of the season, has helped Palace won 3-1 against Everton.

Gallagher scored the opening goal and was the last of the three, with Everton’s James Tomkins and Salomon Rondon also on the scoresheet.

His second was a cut from just outside the box that sent the ball into the top corner.

Gallagher now has six goals in 15 league games, prompting some Chelsea fans to call for the player to return for the winter.

One said: “Conor Gallagher, what a player! Bring him back in January? He’s ready now, big future ahead at Chelsea.”

Another said: “Gallagher will be back home in January.”

One added: “Is there any chance Chelsea could call Gallagher back in January?”

Chelsea fans aren’t the only ones impressed by Gallagher, with Palace manager Patrick Vieira was full of praise.

“I’m not surprised at all and Conor isn’t the type to be too busy,” says Vieira.

“He wants to improve, he is really humble, is working hard and the challenge for him is to maintain that form to fulfill expectations.

“He was fantastic today and I think when the team plays at that level it allows him and some of the players in the team to express themselves.”
