Chelsea fans all blame Todd Boehly for Real Madrid defeat after wild pre-game predictions

CHELSEA fans can’t believe Todd Boehly predicted a 3-0 win at Real Madrid – as they blamed the club owner for the 2-0 DEFEAT.
Boehly’s pre-match tip stunned fans ahead of the Champions League quarter-final first leg – and afterwards they were even more convinced he was clueless.

The American businessman urged fans to “have a lot of faith” – but many supporters lost faith in him as reigning champions Real sank the ten-man blues.
Karim Benzema tapped an opener in the 21st minute before Ben Chilwell received a straight red for tripping the goal-bound Rodrygo just before an hour.
Chelsea struggled well enough in interim boss Frank Lampard’s second return leg, offering more scoring threat than in Saturday’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Wolves.
But Marco Asensio’s sharp finish in the 79th minute puts Real in control of next Tuesday’s second leg.
One fan wrote: “You can’t blame the @ChelseaFC managers. Blame it all on Todd Boehly. Running Chelsea like it was a Fifa game. A squad full of the same players (midfielders) and no forwards. Boehly indicated they would win 3-0. Awkward.”
Another noted his prediction, adding: “Shame on you.”
A third wrote: “Naw this is extremely bad…Todd just wants to ruin our club.”
And a fourth said: “Todd Boehly really said we’d win 3-0 only to watch us be completely outclassed by Madrid.”

Boehly’s earlier assessment has been called “satire”.
But a more optimistic supporter joked: “Todd Boehly actually meant 3-0 in the second leg. Not tonight.”
Boehly made his prediction after being seen coming out of a restaurant in Madrid and being asked his verdict by a reporter.
He answered; “Chelsea will win.” When asked by how much, he said “3-0”.
Separately, Boehly told Sky Sports: “I say to the fans – have a lot of faith.
“We see this as a long-term process, we still have a lot to do. We have a lot of confidence in the future. Our future is bright”.
Fans immediately went into shock mode.
One said: “He’s so crazy. Real Madrid will win 4-0.”

Another reacted: “He must be joking.”
And he was warned – aptly: “It ages terribly.”
