Good morning Chelsea fans
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly met with Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes in Portugal last week.
The Blues owner has stepped in as interim director of football to help the club with its transfers after transfer guru Marina Granovskaia and chairman Bruce Buck left earlier this week.
The future of the Manchester United star is far from decided as the player has been linked with a move from Old Trafford.
And according to The Athletic, Ronaldo’s future at United and a possible move to Chelsea were discussed when Boehly faced Mendes in Portugal last week.
The 37-year-old Portugal international has 12 months left on the two-year deal he signed on his Man Utd return last summer.
Chelsea are on the hunt for a striker this summer, with record-breaking Romelu Lukaku set to return to Inter Milan on loan.
But as things stand, United intend to keep the legendary striker.
Elsewhere it has been suggested that Chelsea are the club best placed to sign Ousmane Dembele when his contract at Barcelona expires.
Marca claim Dembele is getting ever closer to leaving the Nou camp as his contract expires after Xavi’s late game to keep the Frenchman looking too little and too late.
Reserve goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has also stated his intention to get more playing time and hinted at a possible departure from Stamford Bridge.
