The 30-year-old playmaker has played in China for the last five and a half years.

But Oscar is now ready for a fresh start with samba giants Flamengo.

The international with 48 caps is best remembered by fans for his time at Chelsea.

Oscar scored 38 goals in 203 games during a four and a half year stint at Stamford Bridge.

The ace won two Premier League titles, a Carabao Cup and the Europa League during his time in England.

And Oscar has been linked to a stunning return to Chelsea on multiple occasions.

Barcelona were also in talks with Oscar over a transfer earlier this year.

But after playing for Sao Paulo and Internacional, he will sign with Brazilian Flamengo instead.

The move will see Oscar reunite with former teammate David Luiz.

But blues fans will be wondering what could have been if Oscar had returned to Chelsea.

He said last year: “First I have to think about returning to a top European team. I think I will have some options.

“I hope I can continue to play the way I play here, so I know there will be doors open to me too.

“I have a good relationship with Chelsea, I have a great fondness for the club and its fans.

“So after my contract expires, this is one of the clubs that I will wholeheartedly consider.”
