Chelsea ‘crazy for Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner if they sack Graham Potter and Todd Boehly is impressed by Austria’
CHELSEA are reportedly interested in hiring Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner if they sack Graham Potter.
The Bundesliga boss has impressed since taking charge of Frankfurt in 2021 and guiding them to last year’s Europa League title.
Glasner’s most recent triumph came in an admirable 1-1 draw against eternal German champions Bayern Munich.
and picture claims the Austrian tactician has a big fan in Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.
The Blues are said to have reached out to Glasner last summer as Thomas Tuchel’s future began to take center stage.
And he’s still on Boehly’s shortlist if he ever decides to pull the trigger on Potter.
The ex-Brighton man got off to a good start at Stamford Bridge before a dismal string of results saw Chelsea drop the table.
But after some good results and an influx of top talent, there is a feel-good factor at the club.
Chelsea are also still in the Champions League and fans believe the only way is up as they also hunt down a new central midfielder before Tuesday’s deadline.
Boehly continues to support Potter after putting his money into the transfer window.

But with the American keeping an eye on Glasner, Potter will be aware he needs to start picking up wins, particularly in the Premier League.
Chelsea’s interest in Glasner comes after club icon Jose Mourinho was linked with a return for a THIRD spell.
The now Roma boss has managed Man Utd and Tottenham since his second sacking at Chelsea in December 2015.
