Chelsea CONFIRM Malo Gusto transfer as they sign the £26m defender on loan to Lyon for the remainder of the season

CHELSEA have signed Lyon full-back Malo Gusto, which runs until 2030.

The Blues had been hot on the 19-year-old’s trail for weeks as they looked for more cover for Reece James at right flank.

Gusto has been signed for £26million but will be loaned out to Lyon for the remainder of the season.

The deal is the SEVENTH transfer Chelsea have made in their busy January window as Todd Boehly-led ownership continues to inject the cash.

Malo arrived in London yesterday to receive medical treatment after Chelsea managed to strike a deal with reluctant Lyon bosses.
