Charles Barkley has been declared the ‘king of trolls’ after the NBA legend’s ‘wild’ all-star comment

CHARLES BARKLEY has called Salt Lake City a “boring a**” town in a bizarre on-air rant.

The 60-year-old TNT analyst laid into the hosts of the NBA All-Star Game during Sunday’s matchup.

Barkley watched Team LeBron take on Team Giannis at Vivint Arena.

With little defense, nearly 400 points were scored in the competition as Giannis’ team recorded a 184-175 victory.

But despite the points picked up on the ground, Barkley seemed more concerned about the city’s lack of activity.

And he made his thoughts known with a “savage” tirade from the Inside the NBA commentary box.

Barkley groaned, “These people are going to heaven. There is nothing to do in this boring city.

“Can’t smoke, can’t drink; these people go to heaven.

“It’s a great city, there’s just nothing to do here.”

Chuck’s co-commentator Shaquille O’Neal hinted he felt the same way, quipping back, “I’ve never eaten so much room service in my life.”

Fans were in hysterics at the on-air exchange, which took place just before kick-off in front of a packed arena.

One NBA fan chuckled, “I’ve been to Utah… he’s not wrong lol”

While another said, “That was maybe the funniest comment made all star weekend.”

And a third added: “He’s right [sic] idk why people get offended [laughing emoji].”

Another quipped: “Charles Barkley… The Troll Kings.”

Barkley and Shaq’s comments didn’t sit well with local officials, and State Senator Nate Blouin took to Twitter shortly after the exchange.

Blouin wrote: “Super disappointing recording. Do it better Shaq and Charles!

“I bet you all were just cooped up in the all-star VIP areas and didn’t even come to town and just perpetuating a reputation that we’re working hard to change.”

While on Monday morning Salt Lake City Mayor Erin Mendenhall added: “Charles, quite clearly [needs] a local to show you [Salt Lake City].

“Come back anytime and I would be delighted to take you to any of the world famous restaurants, bars and outdoor spaces that you must have missed during your stay here.”
