Well-known Ukrainian actress Taya Shchuruk, who starred in the series Pershy Lastivki and Kyiv Day and Night, spoke openly about living and working abroad. She went to England, where she even had to work in a nursing home.

“I found an agent and went to master classes. Every now and then I found a job. At first I taught children acting skills… Then I went to work in a nursing home… I changed diapers, fed them there, wore teas, talked,” – admitted Shchuruk in an interview with Alina Dorotyuk.

The actress admitted that it was difficult for her to find work because she had no experience. Therefore, she did not refuse job offers where she was offered hard work or a small salary.

“I have absolutely no experience with other jobs. So I didn’t have much choice as to where to go. Because anywhere you need experience… It’s hard to even get a job… I auditioned for Netflix and recorded samples on Apple TV,” the artist said.

Shchuruk also said that she worked in a bar. At first she collected dishes, then she learned how to make cocktails and started doing just that.

“I collected plates or set the table. And then they put me at the bar and I was already working at the bar. That is, they taught me how to make coffee, prepare cocktails and wash glasses,” Shchuruuk added.
