But Real are European champions after beating Liverpool in last season’s final in Paris and claiming their 14th title.

Celtic have beaten big Spanish sides in this competition in the past, beating Lionel Messi’s Barcelona in 2012.

But they have their hands full Tuesday night in Parkhead.

Real will be focused on getting the 2022/23 European Championship off to a perfect start with a visit to Glasgow.

Kyogo Furuhashi will not be able to play after being sidelined in the win over Rangers with a shoulder injury.

Real Madrid have a largely fit squad but Carlo Ancelotti could make a change or two after beating Real Betis at the weekend.

But Karim Benzema and Vinicius Jr. will lead Los Blancos’ attack on Parkhead.
