Celebrity Danger! Host Ken Jennings almost leaves the stage after contestant Timothy Simons “misunderstands” the rules of the game.

Celebrity Danger! Contestant Timothy Simons caused a stir when he realized he had no idea what it meant to bet on a True Daily Double.
He stopped the game and shouted: “Oh no, what does that mean?” as Ken Jennings almost walked away laughing.
Former champion Ken, 49, hosts Celebrity Jeopardy! this year instead of Mayim Bialik, 47.
After the premiere last Wednesday, it was time for the second act on October 4th.
Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone in “The Office”) met Lisa Ann Walter (comedian) and Timothy (Jonah Ryan in “Veep”).
Tim ended up with the last Daily Double of the game and decided to make it a “True Daily Double”.
“Wait, you’re betting everything!” Ken remarked as the crowd was shocked.
‘WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?’
“Oh wait – no,” Tim said, throwing his arms up.
“What does that mean? I may have the wrong information.”
Tim seemed to misunderstand that you have to bet everything on a True Daily Double, which also suggests he hasn’t watched the show.

“You bet a whole $7,100 here-” Ken continued, but Tim interrupted him.
“Oh God, no,” he said.
Ken almost fell off the stage because he was laughing so hard.
“Absolutely not; I think I thought it meant $1,500,” the Jeopardy! contestant continued.
“I understand you want to know the face value of the clue,” Ken said.
In the end, Tim bet $1200 and made a mistake. Ken said he was “glad Tim learned what a True Daily Double was in time.”
“Maybe he should have been informed!”

A third wrote: “This is the moment when it’s appropriate to question whether these players have watched #Jeopardy and how good the contestants’ briefings were,” they added.
“The confusion over what ‘a real Daily Double’ means was hilarious,” read a fourth.
Before Final Jeopardy, Lisa Ann had $16,700, Timothy had $8,300 and Brian had $6,200.
It said: “This 14-ton landmark also has its famous bang like the Liberty Bell and still sounds its distinctive bong every hour.”
All three were right about “Big Ben” and Lisa – who always watched “Jeopardy!” Growing Up – won with a $0 bet and a huge look of gratitude.
WHAT IS: THE FORMAT?
Celebrity Danger! Season 2 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC and Hulu.
The special is tournament style, with the winner advancing to the semi-finals each week.
During the premiere, Utkarsh Ambudkar (“Ghosts”) beat filmmaker Mark Duplass and the terribly bad Emily Hampshire (“Schitt’s Creek”) by just $4.
There will be nine quarter-final matches and three semi-final episodes taking place after the quarter-finals.
In the semi-finals, the competition is reduced to the top three teams and there is a final duel that only lasts one episode.
Episodes last one hour and the winner receives $1 million (for charity).
Last year the actor Ike Barenholtz won and for the first time he will also be taking part in the next Tournament of Champions.
Executive producer Michael Davies made some major changes to the spinoff, including a triple Jeopardy round and a split-screen clue selection display, which has divided fans.
BIALIK breaks out of danger!
Last year, Mayim hosted the entire special – which was the first time since 2015 and without late host Alex Trebek.
This time, Ken replaces Mayim as host of the entire special.
She left due to strikes by the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild.
The former Blossom star is a member of the striking actors union SAG-AFTRA.
Even though the strikes ended during the broadcast, Mayim will most likely still not be hosting any part of it as the recording is already in the middle of it.
The “Big Bang Theory” alum is on an extended break from all things “Jeopardy!”-related, including season 40, which premiered last month.
“It is not my place to personally judge other people’s decisions [but] I am a union supporter,” Mayim told Vanity Fair on Friday in her first public statement.
Her exit marks the first time that Ken has taken over all programming for Jeopardy! moderated, a big change since they were supposed to split hosting duties.
During the regular broadcast of Jeopardy! uses recycled material until its writers return, Celebrity Jeopardy! includes fresh material that was previously written.
