The CARTEL monster hanged nine bodies from a bridge in a chilling warning to rival gangs amid bloody fighting on the Mexican turf.
A tenth victim was also found on a nearby road by terrified residents in the Cuauhtémoc city of Zacatecas around 6 a.m. Thursday.
Officials warned the unsettling display could be linked to a barbaric dispute between ruthless criminal gangs operating in the area.
The final nine bodies were removed from the overpass by police at around 10 a.m. local time, as locals were commuting for their day.
According to local media, the majority of those who have died have been identified as residents of the small town of Cuauhtémoc, which has a population of just 6,660.
“They pay the price for the sins of others, it’s not fair that they do this to us because they pay the price for the guilty,” a horrified local told TV Azteca Noticias.
Another added: “It’s scary going out at night. You have to go to bed early and every night there’s noise, motorbikes, screaming, stuff like that.”
Local authorities say an “intense investigation” is underway, although no arrests have been made.
The gruesome arrangement has sparked calls for leaders to increase security measures and provide more patrols.
Carton killers have continued to hang their victims from public detours in a stark warning to others throughout this year.
It comes shortly after three other bodies were discovered hanged nearly 70 kilometers away on a bridge in the city of Fresnillo in June.
El Chapo’s henchmen are said to have tortured, killed, and mutilated rival gang members before hanging their bodies on the bridge.
In May, it was reported that a Cartel Tijuana hangs a severed head from the bridge in the neighborhood of Sánchez Taboada.
It marks a significant escalation in the shocking brutality used by the gangs as a violent war continues to engulf Mexico.
