Carson Daly sends goosebumps among Today’s co-hosts as he shares emotional news after disappearing from the show

CARSON Daly has shared emotional news with his Today co-hosts after returning to the morning programme.
The presenter gave his colleagues goosebumps when he presented a moving section late in the evening foo fighter drummer Taylor Hawkins.
During Tuesday’s PopStart episode of Today, Carson revealed that Taylor’s teenage son performed with the Foo Fighters.
Taylor died in Bogotá, Colombia in March 2022 at the age of 50.
The rocker’s 17-year-old son Shane paid tribute to the late icon by playing drums at the Boston Calling Music Festival with the Foo Fighters.
Carson, 49, told his co-hosts that Shane joined the band onstage during their performance of “I’ll Stick Around.”

He then shared a short clip of Shane rocking behind the drums while his co-hosts gasped in awe.
Hoda Kotb said, “My god… Wow!” as Craig Melvin remarked, “That apple didn’t fall far!” and Savannah Guthrie commented, “Amazing.”
Carson added, “These are headbanging skills that run in the family. Good moment.”
On March 25, 2022, emergency services were called to the Four Seasons Casa Medina Hotel in Bogotá, where Taylor was suffering from chest pains in his hotel room.

They determined that Taylor was unresponsive and performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The musician had “ten types of drugs” in his system before he tragically passed away, autopsy results revealed.
CARSON’S RETURN
Meanwhile, Carson returned to the Today show on Tuesday after recently missing several episodes.
Last week he took the first few days off the morning show to be in Los Angeles to host the final episodes of The Voice.
The singing competition season finale was particularly emotional for the TV star as it also marked the final episode of his friend Blake Shelton as a coach.
After celebrating the country music superstar during his final moments on the reality series, Carson returned to Today on Thursday.
Upon his return to the morning show, he shared a sweet clip from the finale of The Voice in which he surprises Blake with a hilarious gift.
He said, “And just like every other coach, like every other great American athlete, we commemorate this great moment when it’s time to walk out of the game, throw in the towel, pack it up and call it a day.”
“Buddy, it’s time to retire the Blake Shelton denim jacket.”
SWEET GIFT
The camera then pand to his jacket, which was hanging on the wall and had his name “The Voice” written on it and the seasons he had won.
On the morning of The Voice finale, Carson also paid a touching tribute to Blake on Instagram.
Alongside a series of photos with the country music singer, Carson wrote, “Today is just going to be weird! It can not be said otherwise.”
“For over 12 years I’ve been watching the cowboy do his thing on @nbcthevoice and we’ve been laughing and having fun literally the entire time.
“Thanks buddy! Enjoy your retirement in the red chair, you deserve it!”
Carson went missing again on Memorial Day.
He was replaced by Jacob Soboroff.
In addition to Carson, his co-stars Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie were also absent.
