Caroline Dubois shows no fault of making her professional debut as future lightweight queen beats veteran Vaida Masiokaite

CAROLINE DUBOIS kicked off her pro career with a flawless debut with the future lightweight queen resplendent in purple and gold.

The 21-year-old made her way to the Cardiff ring to the trademark tune of boxing Sweet Caroline and the new boxing queen looked absolutely regal throughout the score won against Vaida Masiokaite.

Golden Girl of the Youth Olympics missed the medal at the Tokyo summer game but is fast being tracked to the world championship belts this year.

The opening round of her career went by with a series of punches chasing Masiokaite across the ring.

Dubois was very confident in her young reflexes and footwork that her guard has been lowered by her belt for most of the stanza.

With the women’s round still under two minutes, knockouts are rare, but Dubois did his best to surprise.

But veteran Masiokaite, 34, knows how to handle the blows that are coming her way.

Masiokaite finished brilliantly to third after a left-handed peach from the south London side knocked her out.

Dubois walked away expecting the referee to count the numbers but Masiokaite never fully touched the deck so the taping continued when Dubois noticed.

Brit is at fault for being too eager to please the crowd in the fourth season, with her aggressive tactics making her appear clumsy for a few brief moments.
