Carlisle United vs Stockport County – League Two Playoff Final LIVE: The Blues take on the Hatters in an epic Wembley clash

what was said

Carlisle boss Paul Simpson is hoping his side can turn a “good” season into a “fantastic” with a win today.

He said: “Thinking back, June 22 was our first day of pre-season, so we’re talking 11 months of work here,” he said.

“I remember in my time as a player I had a good break for eight weeks and didn’t have to do anything, but the players could get four weeks this time.

“It’s a long, old drudgery but nothing to complain about because we’re all very fortunate to be involved in professional football.

“It was a really good season, now we want to make it a fantastic season so we can really enjoy everything.”
