The PARANOID and ailing Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly bold and secretive with his battlefield tactics, Kremlin insiders have warned.
The dictator is said to be making hasty decisions without consulting his military chiefs in support of his botched invasion of Ukraine.
Sources say the president, who is said to be suffering from cancer, is keeping his generals on their toes and is “losing all coordination” and has stopped communicating with his advisers.
Instead, the bloodthirsty tyrant reportedly swings through the war while trying to stave off a crushing defeat.
It has sparked fears that the incompetent leader could unleash a devastating nuclear conflict while growing increasingly desperate.
Moscow’s elite have lost faith in the leader, raising concerns about his lax strategies and increasingly bizarre behavior as he struggles to assert his position of power.
High-ranking officials, members of parliament and executives of public and private companies have now revealed the extent of Putin’s downward spiral to the Telegraph.
A head of a state-owned bank expressed concern that the despot was only enforcing decisions without consultation.
The source said: “No one explains anything to anyone. There is a total lack of coordination. It’s a mess. Putin tells everyone different things.
“What did we do in Kharkiv? Nobody has a clue – neither politicians nor the military. It just happened.”
And Putin persists in his obsession with defeating Ukraine, despite persistent rumors that his health is deteriorating.
Insiders claim he continues to babble about Russia being surrounded by enemies and insisted that NATO was plotting his downfall.
Putin’s lack of stable leadership has meant that genuine support for the war has dwindled, according to an executive at a leading private company and pal of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
They told the publication: “There used to be these officers who said they had a ‘boss.’ [an informal term for Putin]and he would unite society.
“Now everyone understands that’s not the case. But people can’t change their position fast enough.”
The unbelievable promise of victory in Russia soon turned into a mood of “impending doom,” said another business tycoon.
He described his return to the nation after furlough as “returning to prison” after 300,000 conscripts were called up for duty.
“People are ready to lead their children, husbands and sons to the slaughter. It’s downright evil,” he continued.
“People don’t need therapists anymore, they need psychiatrists.”
WINNING WAR IS PUTIN’S “ONLY OPTION”
Another claimed naïve troops were duped by generals after being sent to the front lines with rusted guns and 60-year-old tanks.
But despite the Russian military’s outdated artillery, the ailing president is still desperate to cement his place in history.
Sources have suggested that his recent land grab – the biggest since World War II – and the nuclear threat facing the West are his attempt to leave a powerful, lasting legacy to Ukraine’s allies with chilling warnings.
An insider claimed: “The message is: remember, Ukraine has no right to defeat us. By supplying arms, you are only delaying Ukraine’s demise.”
Fearful Russians struggle to imagine a world where Russia does not triumph – they say it is “the only possible option”.
But former Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov claimed Putin would be ousted from power within three months.
He believes the growing strength of Ukraine’s army, unrest following the mobilization order and Western sanctions causing economic difficulties could finally topple the dictator.
And that’s if Putin’s ailing health doesn’t stop him at first, because the strong man is finding it increasingly difficult to hide his pain in public.
He was spotted grimacing as he tried to keep his composure during his meeting with Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko this week.
Reports have long suggested that Putin suffers from serious illnesses, including abdominal cancer, early-stage Parkinson’s disease and schizoaffective disorder.
There have been Western claims about Putin’s health, notably from ex-MI6 chief Sir Richard Dearlove, who said the Russian leader needs to be sent to a sanatorium for medical problems and will be gone by 2023.
This week, political scientist Valery Solovey claimed that Putin’s condition was “deteriorating dramatically.”
He also claimed that Putin’s secret medical conditions influenced his assessment of the war.
Russian independent media Proekt suggested that during official visits, Putin is constantly surrounded by top Russian medics, including cancer specialists.
They are to monitor him closely in public and behind the scenes.
In June, Ukrainian officials claimed the evil tyrant was suffering from “serious” illnesses and could die within two years.
