Cameron Robbins, a teenager from LOUISIANA, has been reported missing after falling overboard while on a cruise in the Bahamas.
According to a local, Robbins was on a trip with his classmates after graduation from Baton Rouge CBS affiliate WAFB News.
He was reportedly dared to jump off the boat and witnesses said he disappeared after splashing in the water.
The US Coast Guard tweeted they would be helping to find the missing teenager who went missing on Wednesday night.
The principal of the high school that Robbins attended released a statement that read: “The University Lab School community is praying for the best possible outcome of this situation.”
“I have contacted Cameron’s family and at this time authorities are still searching for him in the Bahamas.”

The parents arrived yesterday
A family friend told it WAFB News that Cameron Robbins’ parents arrived in the Bahamas yesterday afternoon.
A prayer vigil was held later in the day at the Atlantis Paradise Resort in Nassau.

Cameron Robbins’ baseball coach has released a statement about his player.
The statement said: “Cameron is a kid who is truly loved by his teammates, teachers and classmates. He’s a tough competitor on the baseball field.
“He’s a hard worker, both on and off the field. Our school community is struggling right now, but hoping for the very best. Our thoughts and prayers have been and remain with the Robbins family at this difficult time.”

“The children came to us and asked if they could do a prayer group? Obviously we agreed. We really appreciated their leadership during this difficult time.”
Update from the Coast Guard
The US Coast Guard announced on Twitter that they will assist in the search for Cameron Robbins.
Their statement released yesterday morning said: “Coast Guard crews are assisting the Royal Bahamas Defense Force in the search for a missing US citizen believed to have fallen overboard while on a sunset cruise near Nassau last night.”
They added in a separate tweet that flight crews will also assist in the search.
