California earthquake – Tremors hit LA after the state was rocked by a magnitude 4.2 quake off the coast of Malibu

A magnitude 4.2 earthquake was reported off the coast of California.

Tremors were reportedly felt in parts of Los Angeles.

US Geological Survey seismologists said the quake was recorded about 10 miles (16 km) south of Malibu Beach.

Americans have taken to social media to say they felt the effects of the quake.

One said: “Did you feel that! I’m West Hollywood and it rocked the apartment.”

Another commented: “Earthquake? Short jolt felt in East LA area.”
