Bulldogs beat Miners 31-24 to become New Mexico Bowl Champion

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) – The Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday beat UTEP Miners 31-24 to win the 16th annual PUBG Mobile New Mexico Bowl championship.

With this win, the Dogs achieved a ten-win season, their third in the past five years (the remaining two seasons were in 2017 and 2018). It was also the team’s first Bowl Game win since 2018.

The Bulldogs are currently having some positive momentum heading into 2022, with Jeff Tedford returning for a second time as head coach.

We’ll bring you highlights and post-match analysis from Albuquerque on ABC30.

The game was held at the University Stadium in Albuquerque.

“We want to continue to put titles in our trophy case,” interim head coach Lee Marks said in an interview earlier this week. “This is about these kids… for them to get that trophy and remember this experience, it’s going to be huge for them.”
