Broward County Adds Four New COVID-19 Testing Sites, Expanded to Add More Sites – CBS Miami

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – In response to a surge in demand for COVID-19 testing, Broward County is opening four new locations and has expanded several others.

A new pilot collection site will open Monday, January 3 at Mullins Park, 10000 Ben Geiger Drive in Coral Springs. During the first week, the site will be open Monday through Thursday, January 3 to January 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. After that, the site will be open every week from Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm.

On Wednesday, January 5, a pilot site will open at Tree Tops Park, located at 3900 SW 100th Avenue in Davie.

On Monday, January 10, a pilot site will open at Tradewinds Park, located at 3600 W Sample Road in Coconut Creek.

On Tuesday, January 11, a test site will open at Broward Central Park and Broward County Stadium, located at 3700 NW 11 Place in Lauderhill.

Each site offers a drive-through test and will be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

At Markham Park, capacity at the test site, located at 16001 W. State Road 84 in Sunrise, was expanded with additional test tents.

The test sites at CB Smith Park in Pembroke Pines and Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale have been expanded with additional test tents over the past few weeks to accommodate an increase in demand. The CB Smith Park test site is open Monday through Friday from 8am to 3pm. Mills Pond Park test site is open Sunday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm

CB Smith Park, Markham Park and Mills Pond Park will only be open on Thursday, December 30 for testing. All other DOH-Broward testing locations are closed Thursday through Saturday, December 30 – January 1, in compliance with the New Year.

As new sites open, Department of Health-Broward will operate 14 collection sites in the county. Hours and days of operation are posted here and is constantly updated.

Site 15 is located at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and is open to those who can provide proof of travel plans to or from the airport on any airline. The airport location is operated by Nomi Health and Spirit Airlines, in partnership with the Broward County Aviation Department.
