Briton wanted for ‘assaulting a man eight years ago’ has been arrested after landing in Cyprus on holiday

A wanted British tourist has been arrested after landing in Cyprus for a holiday.
The unnamed holidaymaker was arrested by police at Paphos airport eight years ago over an attack on the island.
He was arrested on Monday after being spotted at passport control and spent the night in police custody.
There has been an arrest warrant against the tourist since 2015 for a fight in Paphos.
Police say he was involved in a fight and beat up a man Phile news.
He flew back to the UK before an arrest warrant was issued.
The Briton has to appear before the Paphos District Court today.
