Britney Spears’ book will be a ‘cascading firework’ as she takes ‘sweet revenge’ on those who were ‘awful to her’
BRITNEY Spears’ tell-all book will be a firework as she exacts revenge on those who abused her, says a PR expert.
Spears’ book, due to be published by Simon & Schuster, has reportedly been delayed as several Hollywood stars are concerned about the details the book may reveal.
Publishing insiders have described the manuscript as “inspirational” and a “groundbreaking instant bestseller.”
However, a public relations expert shared that Spears could also use the book to get revenge on those who wronged her.
Eric Schiffer, chairman of Los Angeles-based Reputation Management Consultants, spoke exclusively to The US Sun about what Spears’ book could reveal and what it could mean for her future.
“I can imagine there will be a cascade of firecrackers being fired with brutal intent at many of the people she believes have been taken advantage of,” Schiffer said.
“And she will let go.
Schiffer said Spears’ newfound freedom after ending her 13-year conservatory tenure in November 2021 will also have an impact on the memoir.
“Her filter is mostly gone, and you’re going to see a series of crude and unsustainable missiles that will fire at those she thinks have been terrible to her,” Schiffer said.
“That includes her father and a number of other characters who have supported him.”
“READY TO ACT”
However, recent reports suggest the memoir’s release could be delayed and that lawyers will decide how much Spears reveals on the pages.
A key concern for publisher Simon & Schuster is Spears’ father Jamie, who has denied multiple allegations of abuse and mistreatment.
The pair have been at odds for years, although Jamie insists he “saved” the singer when she was struggling with mental health issues in 2008.
During her tenure as conservator, Spears openly claimed that her father abused her and profited from her career — allegations Jamie has denied.
Jamie’s associates say he “won’t just let his daughter write whatever she wants about him and destroy his reputation.”
Jamie’s legal team is “ready to take action if there is anything worth lying about or slandering.”
Still, the book could be a turning point for Spears.
“I think that’s an emotional catharsis for her,” Schiffer said.
Spears has endured “a crushing number of years of being choked on her freedom and her ability to express herself,” he continued.
“The book is an emotional journey and one where she feels she can now take sweet revenge.”
What the memoir could mean for Spears’ future has yet to be decided.
“It’s really going to depend on what’s in the book,” Schiffer said.
“We can expect that there will be many sensational moments and that she will probably also advertise in interviews.”
“Look, there’s going to be some spotlight again, but I’m not sure it’s going to have any necessary impact on her career one way or the other unless there’s a big reveal that could hurt her .”
“But I’m not sure if it’s helping her in any way because she already has a following that will drive buying if she decides to tour or release a new product.”
Insiders have revealed the book could become a documentary directed by Ryan Murphy.
An industry insider told The US Sun, “Ryan is clearly fascinated by the Britney saga and of course he’s one of the few filmmakers in Hollywood, maybe the only one, to have a real professional relationship with Britney.”
“He knows her, he knows her world and he knows why the story of her conservatory work resonated with so many people.”
“He’s the type for it, but the question is timing.”
“Britney promises bombshells with her book release, and people will want to see those stories dramatized.”
“But Ryan hates being accused of exploiting sacrifice and tragedy on his shows, so this becomes an incredibly sensitive issue and he wouldn’t even consider moving forward without Britney’s full co-signing.”
“In the same way, he would have brought Monica Lewinsky on board for the Clinton season of American Crime Story.”
The US Sun has reached out to Simon & Schuster and Spears’ attorney for comment on the state of the book.
