BRITNEY Spears has revealed in emotional news that she has lost her baby.
The singer shared a heartbreaking post on Instagram, in which she explained she will continue “trying to expand her family” with Sam Asghari.
Britney, 40, shared her tragic news in an Instagram text message to her page of 41million followers on Saturday, tagging Sam.
She began: “It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce that we lost our miracle baby early in pregnancy.
“This is a devastating time for any parent.”
“Perhaps we should have waited until we were further along to announce, but we were overly excited to share the good news,” she added, amid her earlier announcement that she was expecting with her fiancé.
She continued, “Our love for each other is our strength.
“We will continue to try to expand our beautiful family.”
Britney concluded: “We are grateful for all of your support. We ask for your privacy at this difficult moment.”
She signed the Instagram note “Sam & Britney” in cursive at the bottom, and captioned the photo with an additional note of thanks:
“We are grateful for what we have to add to our beautiful family. Thanks for your support.”
Sam commented under the post, “We’re about to see a miracle” with a red heart emoji.
This would have been her third child as the legendary hitmaker already has two sons, Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.
Britney has 30 percent custody of her two boys and pays child support to her ex-husband Kevin.
Britney announced in a surprise message on the same platform last month that she was expecting it.
On April 11, the pop superstar took to Instagram to share a photo of pink flowers with the caption, “I lost so much weight to go on my Maui trip, only to gain it back.
“I was like, ‘Gosh… what happened to my stomach?’ My husband said, ‘No, you’re pregnant, you idiot.’
“So I took a pregnancy test… and well… I’m having a baby… four days later…”
She continued in the earlier post, noting that she planned to be vocal about her journey: “It’s hard because when I was pregnant [previously] I had perinatal depression. I have to say it’s absolutely awful. Women didn’t talk about it then…but now women talk about it every day!”
Britney concluded: “This time I’m going to do yoga every day! Spread much joy and love.”
Fans rushed to the comments section, as one wrote: “Oh my god! Congratulations Britney!!”
Sam – who she often calls her husband – hinted over the holidays that the couple were planning to have a child.
Britney has been vocal on social media about her newfound freedom after ending her conservatory in November 2021.
Since then, she has called out her younger sister Jamie Lynn multiple times and also took to Instagram to criticize her parents for how they treated her.
A source previously claimed to The Sun that Britney’s future children would have “absolutely no” relationship with her parents, Jamie and Lynne Spears – formerly her conservators.
Britney’s conservatory officially ended after 13 years, with no further evaluation required, as Judge Brenda Penny ruled in favor of the Grammy Award winner.
She is now in full control of her life for the first time since before 2008.
In the week leading up to the verdict, the star shared her thoughts on the important day in a now-deleted post.
“This week will be very interesting for me,” she wrote at the time. I haven’t prayed for anything in my life.”
Her father Jamie agreed to step down, but the entertainer will continue to be mentored by professional Jodi Montgomery, who is handling her medical and personal affairs.
When the judge suspended Penny Britney’s father, she explained: “Based on what I’ve read on the files and I’ve read everything. I believe Jamie Spears’ suspension is in Britney Spears’ best interests.”
Britney and Sam were romantically linked in 2016, met when he starred in a music video of hers and got engaged on September 12, 2021.
Previously, her conservatory had not allowed this, nor was she allowed to expand her family.
