British woman in her 40s and Swede found dead in Portuguese holiday home

A British woman was found dead with a Swedish man in a holiday home in Portugal.

The couple, who are reportedly from London, are said to have arrived at the Porto property just days ago.

Local reports described her as aged between 40 and 50.

The alarm went off just after 1pm on Friday and their bodies were found in the home.

Portuguese PJ Police officers are investigating. They haven’t made any official statements yet.

According to unconfirmed local reports, investigators believe the deaths could be drug-related.

It is understood that no obvious signs of violence or weapons were found.

Autopsies are due to take place over the weekend and will prove key in confirming police suspicions about what happened.

The property where the tourists stayed is located in the center of Porto near the city’s cathedral.

Neither of the two people found dead were named.
