Brit, 29, ‘beaten to death by bouncers’ outside nightclub in Cyprus ‘before gang destroys hospital’ while 26-year-old man arrested

A BRITISH man was reportedly beaten to death by bouncers outside a nightclub in Cyprus.

Huseyin Mavideniz, 29, died after being attacked outside a club in Iskele in the early hours of Thursday, police said.

He was reportedly hit on the head several times by security personnel at the venue before being rushed to hospital in Famagusta.

Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead.

A group of men reportedly showed up and smashed the windows of the hospital’s emergency room with a sledgehammer.

It is believed that they were a group of Huseyin’s grieving friends and family.

Pictures showed broken glass scattered around the hospital’s reception area.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Huseyin’s death.

And police are looking for another person involved in the attack.

dr Eyüp Göksu from the hospital told Yeniduzen: “He died when he got to the hospital. The police are investigating.”

“We receive detailed information from our doctors on duty.”

Huseyin reportedly traveled to Cyprus with his father to receive medical treatment.

The investigations are ongoing.

Earlier this year, a British woman was found dead in Cyprus with “bruise all over her body”.

The body of the 38-year-old – whose name will not be released – was discovered in the apartment she shared with her partner in Kato Paphos.

According to the Cyprus PostThe woman’s partner informed local authorities of her death.

According to initial examinations, the woman is said to have had “bruising all over her body” and two black eyes.

The investigation into her death continues.
