Brighton mock Tottenham and Arsenal on social media after beating both north London rivals in the space of a week

BRIGHTON’s social media administrator couldn’t help but poke fun at the expense of Arsenal and Spurs after beating both in a week.
Last weekend, the Seagulls dashed the Gunners’ hopes of a top-four finish by winning 2-1 at the Emirates, ending a seven-game winless streak.

They then returned to north London today to take on an in-form Tottenham side and compete with rivals Arsenal for a Champions League spot.
Graham Potter’s side defeated Spurs 1-0 thanks to a Leandro Trossard winner in the 90th minute of the lunchtime kick-off.
And Brighton’s Twitter account has certainly been brimming with joy over their past seven days.
They wrote: “North London is ours” followed by a winking emoji to celebrate their monumental week.

Amusingly, Potter saw the fun side of Brighton thwarting both teams’ Champions League aspirations.
He joked to Sky Sports: “It was only fair that if we beat Arsenal we have to go to Spurs and beat them.”
Tottenham’s defeat left the door open for Arsenal to level on points with Antonio Conte’s side when they faced Southampton later in the day.
However, Mikel Arteta’s men lost 1-0 at St Mary’s Stadium for the third straight game.
The defeat leaves Tottenham in fourth place, three points ahead of Arsenal with a game in hand.
While Manchester United also returned to the competition – beating Norwich 3-2 at Old Trafford and moving up to fifth place with the Gunners on points by goal difference.
