Brian Laundrie’s mum Roberta showed ‘jealousy’ to Gabby Petito in ‘burning after reading’ letter about ‘burial of body’

BRIAN Laundrie’s mother was jealous of Gabby Petito, a handwriting expert told The US Sun.
Roberta’s envy of the woman who was strangled by her 23-year-old son in September 2021 was revealed in her recently released Burn after Reading letter.
Paula A. Sassi, who has worked countless cases over the past 43 years, combed through the underpinnings of the bombastic correspondence and was utterly convinced of Roberta’s sheer dislike for Gaby.
The Petito family released the note despite the laundry’s attempt to keep it from the public eye.
Roberta wrote to Brian, who committed suicide after killing 22-year-old Gabby, “When you’re in jail I’ll bake a cake and put a file in it.”
“If you need to dispose of a body, I’ll come with a shovel and garbage bags.”
Then she eerily wrote “burn after reading” on the envelope.
Handwriting expert Sassi says the slant of her writing reveals a lot.
“You can see it clearly,” says Sassi of the cold and calculating nature of the letter.
“Especially on the line where she says ‘I’m going to bake a cake’ — the will goes one way and the bake goes the other way. She’s dominant and was probably jealous of Gabby.”
The different spelling variations — letters slanting upwards indicate a happy mood, while letters sloping downwards might indicate anxiety and depression — have been studied by experts for years and are regularly used in court cases.
Letters like Roberta’s could potentially contain a treasure trove of new information.
“She’s got downward sloping T-bars,” Sassi added. “You’ll basically recognize it from the word ‘guts’ — it shows someone who wants to dominate and control.”
According to court documents, Roberta said the letter only contained references to the books Brian loved as a child and that it was written before the fateful road trip with Gabby.
Sassi scented a rat and said: “This is not the content that a normal mother would write to her son.”
Additionally, since many lyrics fill a full page, she believes they show a “need to control their immediate environment.”
“It’s such cold text,” she adds. “It lacks empathy and shows a need for dominance. Mother and father should both be prosecuted.”
