Brian Laundrie “lied that Gabby Petito fell into a notebook to shift the blame and rewrite history,” claims PI

“I’ve seen and heard many confessions, including dying confessions, they’re always guaranteed to be full of half-truths and blame,” Jensen told The Sun.
“The laundry is no exception.”
The private investigator noted that Laundrie stated he ended Petito’s life but did not admit: “I killed her.”
“He writes this absurd story about her fall and injury crossing Spread Creek and how he couldn’t leave her,” Jensen said.

He also believes Laundrie was attempting to rewrite history with this confession, trying to convince people he was a hero “rather than the notorious villain.”
“He tells us these lies,” Jensen said.
“These are clearly lies because the Teton County coroner never mentioned at the autopsy that Gabby sustained a head injury.
“In reality, he had hoped that if he left their body at Spread Creek, animals would destroy the evidence and it might leave room for the possible head injury.”
“He wanted us all to think he was merciful like Gabby asked him to kill her.”
Jensen was referring to the part of Laundrie’s confession in which he explained why he killed Petito.
“I ended her life. I thought it was gracious that she wanted it, but now I see all the mistakes I made,” Laundrie wrote.
“I panicked. I was in shock.”
Jensen goes on to express his belief that Laundrie killed Petito “because he was a domestic abuser, he strangled her and he had done so before.
“The fact was alluded to about their August 12 fight in Moab,” Jensen said.
The private investigator claims to have made a prediction about the situation between Laundrie and Petito.
“I predicted months ago that Laundrie would leave Gabby by the side of Spread Creek to be eaten by animals, and I explained that he chose the Carlton Reservation to face the same fate,” Jensen said.
“He [Laundrie] confirmed my prediction on the last page of his confession.”
Laundrie’s diary was recovered by the FBI along with his skeletal remains from Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park on October 20, 2021.
The contents of the diary were revealed by Laundrie family lawyer Steven Bertolino on Friday.
“Today, Petito family attorney Patrick Reilly and I met with the FBI in Tampa to sort through and take possession of Gabby and Brian’s personal belongings,” Bertolino told Fox News Digital on Friday.

“As part of this property restitution in FBI custody, Brian’s notebook was given to me and I turned it over [the] The same goes for Chris and Roberta Laundrie.
The Sun has reached out to both Bertolino and Petito family lawyer Richard Stafford for comment.
