Breathtaking moment: A man CATCHES a 2-year-old girl who fell from a fifth-floor apartment

This is the heartbreaking moment a heroic bystander caught a two-year-old toddler after falling from a fifth-floor apartment.
Shen Dong, 31, was parking his car opposite the apartment block in Tongxiang, in China’s Zhejiang province, when he heard a loud bang as the tot landed on a steel roof.

The little girl then fell over the edge of the first floor ledge and fell onto the sidewalk – but Shen caught the boy before she landed on the concrete.
The shocking footage was released by local police on Weibo – China’s version of Twitter – yesterday.
The girl injured her legs and lungs – but her condition is stable, reports the South China Morning Post.
Shen frantically called emergency services when he saw what was happening, but his instincts took over as he threw away his phone and managed to catch the toddler before it hit the ground.

He said he didn’t realize it was a child until the girl started crawling to the edge of the first floor patio.
“To be honest, I can’t remember the details,” Shen told the Qianjiang Evening News.
“I can’t remember if my arms hurt or something. It was just an instinct to reach for her.
“Lucky I made it in time. Otherwise I would feel absolutely awful.”
Weibo users branded the man a “superhero” for saving the girl’s life.
One said: “He’s a superhero who bravely steps forward at a critical moment.
“I hope he gets a cell phone as a reward, because the old one must have broken.”
In a similar case 11 years ago, a young mother named Wu Juping was praised for miraculously catching a toddler who fell from the ninth floor as she walked under the building.
The girl survived and Wu broke her arms.
She has been branded as China’s “most beautiful mother” for her heroism.
