FORMER NFL player Brandon Marshall ranked his top five wide receivers for the season.
Given the plethora of talented wideouts currently in the league, an unenviable task Marshall will surely have some feathers ruffled with his top 5 for good morning football.
In fifth place was Marshall Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers talisman.
A four-time Pro Bowler who has rushed for 1,000 yards in all eight NFL seasons, Evans will be chasing a second Super Bowl ring this season with legendary quarterback Tom Brady at the helm.
Minnesota Vikings youngster Justin Jefferson finished fourth in the league after just two seasons.
Jefferson already has 3,016 yards, seventeen touchdowns and two Pro Bowl appearances, which arguably makes his inclusion a no-brainer.
Then we have the “cheetah” himself, Tyreek Hill, in third place.
One of the fastest players in the league, Hill was a Pro Bowler and three first-team All-Pros in each of his six seasons.
Hill, a former fifth-round pick, left the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason on the sunny Florida coast and signed a four-year, $120 million deal with the Miami Dolphins.
In second place is the consistently underrated Stefon Diggs, who has rushed for 1,000+ yards in each of his last four seasons and has ten career-high touchdowns last year.
A two-time Pro Bowler, the Buffalo Bill was named a 2020 First-Team All-Pro and has the advantage of working alongside Josh Allen, one of the league’s top young quarterbacks.
Now in the gold medal spot is former Green Bay Packers star Davante Adams.
Adams has won five straight Pro Bowls in the past two years and was named a First-Team All-Pro.
That offseason, he made a blockbuster move to the Las Vegas Raiders, signing a five-year, $140 million contract.
Given that this ranking is based on Marshall’s expectations for 2022, expect Hill and Adams to click their new signal callers.
And while all of the above are undoubtedly talented players, there are a few more that could make a solid claim to be included.
These include Cooper Kupp, 2021 NFL Offensive Player of the Year, Ja’Marr Chase, 2021 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, or First-Team All-Pro Deebo Samuel, all of whom didn’t make it.
