Boy who escaped from Ukraine alone with phone number in hand reunited with his mother

An 11-year-old boy who fled the war alone with a phone number scrawled in his hand has been reunited with his mother.
Hassan Pisecká flees from Zaporizhzhia when the Russians attacked the nearby nuclear power plant.
He traveled 750 miles by train to Slovakia with his passport, a note and number.
Yulia’s mother stayed with her disabled mother but the two passed to join Hassan and his siblings.
Yulia told The Sun: “The train was very difficult. Hundreds of people crammed into a single vehicle. But we had to run away so our family could get back together.
“I want to thank everyone from my heart. We have to start from scratch. We lost everything we had but we are healthy. “

What did The Sun say? Hassan stunned volunteers at the border when he walked to.
They dialed the number and arranged for loved ones in Bratislava to come pick him up.
They gave him food and drink and celebrated his “smile, fearlessness and determination”.
Years ago, the family had to leave Syria without Hassan’s father.
Slovak police said: “They lost everything again, but this war did not take anyone away from them.
“They’re together and that’s all that matters.”
