Boy, six, found ‘naked and critically injured’ in garden after being missing for just 90 minutes, dies in hospital

A YOUNG boy who disappeared from his home in Western Australia has died after being found naked and badly injured in a nearby garden.
Six-year-old Joey disappeared in Booragoon, Perth around 4pm on Sunday.
An hour and a half later, neighbors found the naked boy with life-threatening injuries in the backyard of a nearby house.
Police officers rushed to the scene and desperately tried to save his life with first aid.
Shortly thereafter, paramedics from the St. John Ambulance arrived to work on the little one.
He was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital for treatment.

However, despite the best efforts of the blue light workers, Joey could not be saved.
Investigators have cordoned off a dead end street while the investigation continues.
Officials said: “A further update will be provided when appropriate.”
It is understood that Joey was not wearing any clothes when he disappeared and he may have had trouble communicating with strangers.
WA Police had urged residents to check their gardens and outbuildings during the search.
In a statement released before Joey was found, they said: “WA Police are searching for a missing child in the Booragoon area.
“Described as a male, aged six, 120 cm tall, thin build, tanned skin, blonde mullet haircut with blue eyes.
“He may not have any clothes and may not respond when spoken to.”
The horror comes just two days after a four-year-old girl who was missing in Tasmania for two days was found safe and well.
Shayla Phillips disappeared Wednesday afternoon and was found 48 hours later.
