BOURNEMOUTH wants to keep spending low in the Premier League – and is planning a cheap deal for Josh Bowler.
The Cherries bid more than £3m for the 23-year-old Blackpool winger in January but will try their luck with £1m.
Bowler scored eight times in all competitions for Blackpool last season.
However, the player was absent from the final three games of the league season.
Manager Neil Critchley attributed Bowler’s absence to “tiredness.”
Scott Parker is targeting loans and free agents – unsigned Blackburn midfielder Joe Rothwell, 27, joined on Friday – while they tighten their belts.
You don’t want to spend as much money as in previous years.
However, as SunSport revealed, Parker would like to bring in FOUR new defenders.
Parker is looking to sign two centre-backs and a right and left-back to ensure his side are ready for the Premier League again.
Former West Ham right-back Ryan Fredericks has come through the door on a free transfer.

Liverpool defender Nathaniel Phillips has been a key part of Bournemouth’s defense after being loaned out in January and there is interest in his returning to a permanent deal.
But the Reds have put a £15million price tag on the defender, who made 17 league appearances for Parker’s side last season.
Meanwhile, Turkey giants Besiktas have made a £2.5million bid for Reading’s Lucas Joao.
The striker is in the last year of his contract with the Royals.
