Saget was in Florida as part of his “I Don’t Do Negative” comedy tour, according to his Twitter feed.

Comedians and friends not only praised Saget for his wit but also his kindness.

“I broke down. I’m gutting. I was completely shocked. I will never have another friend like him,” wrote John Stamos, who co-starred with Saget in “Full House.” “I love you so much Bobby.”

Norman Lear, who calls Saget a best friend, wrote that the comedian “is as lovable a human being as he is humorous. And in my opinion, he’s hilarious. ”

Actor Richard Lewis wrote on Twitter: “In the often ruthless business, he’s historically not only hilarious but more importantly one of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my career. .

Saget’s poster did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Stand-up Saget showed her dark side as a much-talked-about cameo in the 2005 documentary “The Aristocrats” – in which 100 comics mocked the world’s dirtiest jokes – revealing His notoriously dirty sense of humour.

Saget, also a longtime host of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” played Danny Tanner, a widower and father of three young girls, in “Full House,” the sitcom ABC also brought fame to Olsen twins Mary-Kate and Ashley when it debuted in 1987.

The show’s popularity did not deter critics, some calling it cheesy and others calling it unreal. Saget, as amiable and manipulative in an interview as he was on a TV screen, strode across the stirrups.

“’Full House’ is the kind of show that’s lovely but clearly above all wonderful. It has more realism, a flashy Willy Wonka quality to it,” he said in 2001.

That year, Saget passed again playing a widowed father with obedient children in the short sitcom “Raising Dad”.

He found himself constantly answering questions about his Widow sitcom habits and had the answer ready: “(Kevin) Costner was in three or four baseball movies and that was okay. That is my reason. “
