David Perron scored two objectives whereas Jordan Binnington stopped 29 pictures to steer the St. Louis Blues to a 5-3 win over the Avalanche on Saturday evening in Colorado. The sport was the season opener for the Blues.
Justin Faulk opened the scoring with a primary interval objective giving the Blues the early 1-0 lead. Targets by Brayden Schenn and Perron raised the St. Louis benefit to 3-0. Perron scored on the ability play for his second objective of the sport to present the Blues a 4-1 lead. Then the Avalanche turned it on scoring two objectives to chop the Blues cushion to 4-3. It appeared the Avalanche had tied the sport late within the third interval, however J.T. Compher’s objective was disallowed.
