Blaseball will soon become a board game

Blaseball will become one board game sometime in the very near future. The company behind the beloved pastime, The Game Band, has announced that Blaseball: Card Game will begin its crowdfunding campaign in the spring of 2022.

“Sun 2 lay high in the sky as birds in the field lazily picked up discarded peanut shells,” the statement read. “When the teams stepped onto the pitch, the fans exploded, knowing they were about to see the best of the best. On one side are All-Stars – the pinnacle of Blaseball’s talent. On the other hand, Underdogs – the most fearsome warriors the game has to offer. One final match will decide the outright winners… will you be the one to lead your team to a huge victory? This is Blaseball: The Card Game. Rejoice (again). Play football.”

Blaseball: A Card Game that can be played without knowing anything about Blaseball. Although little is known about the mechanics at the moment, Blaseball: The Card Game is described as a “head-to-head, two-player card game in which you’ll play as a team of Blaseball, each player giving their all. and at the end of the ninth inning. The game band also pointed out that Blaseball: The Card Game “is not a trading card game and we will not sell any kind of random packs”.

When it comes to Blaseball, the board game is a “completely separate card game with very different rules and will not have any mechanical interaction with the site. Blaseball: The Card Game takes place in a detached timeline where some things are the same and some things different. ”

Blaseball involves peanuts, betting and lore.

Blaseball: The Card Game will be the product of a partnership between The Game Band and Wayfinder Games. “The partnership in this context means that Wayfinder Games is creating, designing, and directing Baseball: A Card Game with the Games Band providing the rights to use its intellectual property and collaborating on the mechanics, gameplay, and narrative design.” However, Game Band will not change its policy on fanwork. “While this is a collaboration between development teams, we want to emphasize that fans’ ability to create their own original work has remained unchanged,” the statement explains. “Make what you are inspired to create and if it is yours and is original, sell it.”

The announcement did not mention which crowdfunding platform would be used, but noted that “Wayfinder Games will not pursue platforms using blockchain.” This could mean Kickstarter is out of question.
