BLACKPOOL defender Jordan Gabriel is on the sidelines weeks ago after sitting on a stool injured.
Gabriel, 24, missed Blackpool’s draw at Sunderland on Tuesday night after torn a meniscus in his knee at home, manager Michael Appleton revealed.
Appleton said: “He did it at home on a stool.
“He just sat with his legs – I don’t know if you’ve ever done that – but he just sat with his legs wrapped around the back of the seat and it was being pulled.
“We won’t know the full extent until he sees the specialist.
“In 10 years as a manager I have known four players who get injured at home and accidents happen.
“It’s part of life and it’s unfortunate.
“I feel sorry for Jordan. He got stronger and stronger in Saturday’s game so I can imagine his disappointment and frustration and he will feel it as much as I do.”
In Saturday’s game, Gabriel enjoyed the full 90 minutes as former Premier League club beat Norwich 1-0 at Carrow Road.
Gabriel has provided an assist from full-back so far this season after missing just two league games before Sunderland.
